Figure 58 and 59. End play should be between .015 and .030. As seen here, we have .018, and we are good. You can adjust the end play buy either buying a thicker or thinner selectable washer to put on the input drum, or getting the ten pack of .015 shims from Sonnax.

Once end play is set, remove the pump, dunk the torrington bearing that goes on top of the shims. Put the o-ring on the pump. Lube the case and pump o-ring. Install the pump into the case. Be careful not to tear the gasket. Install the bolts and torque to 18ft lbs.

The rotating assembly is now complete. Now we will proceed to installing the valve body, and buttoning up the rest of the transmission.

Figure 60. Installed Russell Performance 6 AN adapters in place of the stock cooling line fittings. The new cooling lines will be braided stainless steel.
