Figure 98. Here is the box and part number for the new torque converter. It weighs 46 pounds empty.

Figure 99. here is the torque converter itself. This has the stock stall speed. Higher stall speed will not be needed as the engine is being built for as much low-end torque as possible.

Figure 100. Install the o-ring for the turbine shaft, and lubricate it with some transmission fluid.

Figure 101. Fill the torque converter with approximately 1-1/2 quarts of transmission fluid. Push it onto the turbine shaft and pump splines. Rotate it slightly as you push it in, and engage the pump drive tangs. It will be below the outer edge of the bellhousing when it is on all the way.
