Figure 114. All of the roller rockers have finally arrived and have been installed. They were cleaned with denatured alcohol and then dunked in engine oil. The pushrods were treated the same, and each one was given a drop of assembly lube on each end.

Figure 115. The rockers were installed and after the pushrods stopped spinning freely, preload on the lifters was set to between .030 and .035 by turning the poly lock nut 3/4 of a turn tighter from the point where the pushrod stopped spinning freely. This completes the major internal engine assembly.

Figure 116. The valve covers are finished. The copper paint was removed from the LSX emblem, it was not turning out as well as hoped. We may revisit it in the future, but for now, the aluminum looks fine with the now black valve cover.
