Figure 26. Torque the carrier bearing caps to 60 ft lbs. Use the criss cross pattern and ease up to the 60 pounds, start at 20ft lbs, then 40, then the final torque at 60 ft lbs.

Figure 27. Now we close up the differential with the Ruffstuff Dana 44 3/8" Differential Cover. This unit is super thick and strong, it is pretty awesome. We painted it black. We had a few problems with the hex head bolts we bought as an add-on, they didn't fit will on the flange welds. They were replaced with the socket head bolts you see here.

Figure 28. The Dana Spicer 3-4-5761-1x Dana 44 1350 Series Pinion Yoke was installed, and torqued to 250ft lbs. Without the axles and wheels installed, getting that torque spec was not easy, we did not have a yoke tool and used a pipe wrench, which tended to slip off.
